PEER MENTORS - VOLUNTEERING

If you would like to volunteer for the Fairway Project and you are between 16-25 years of age please get in touch either through laura.crane@hansel.org.uk or by calling the office and leaving your name address and telephone number and a volunteer pack will be sent to you.

On receipt of your application form, we will then write out to you inviting you in for an Induction Interview to give you an introduction to the project and the role of a Peer Mentor. If you have been successful, you will then be invited to attend the Peer Mentor Training course, which is normally held over two evenings, three hours per evening.  You will be asked to bring along some documentation on the first evening to enable you to begin the Disclosure Application process.  Someone from the Personnel Department will go through the Disclosure Application with you, correct any mistakes, and answer any questions you may have. Personnel will take a photocopy of the identification documentation you were asked to bring along with you.  They will also carry out reference checks.

Once you have undertaken the Training and on receipt of satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and References, you will be advised in writing that you are able to undertake your role as a Peer Mentor.

Welcome on board!
