PROFESSIONALS - CHAMPION SERVICES

The Fairway Champion will provide professional support, training, and consultancy to enable other organisations, across Scotland including local authorities, voluntary organisations, and local action groups, to develop and manage their own Fairway type service. It is not the intention that Fairway, or Hansel Foundation will manage these services directly, however, if required in the future this may be possible.

The Fairway Champion Project staff will, in conjunction with the external organisation draw up a contract and an Initial Action Plan defining the level of input the Fairway Champion Project will extend to the external organisation. For each organisation, this will be different depending on their own individual set of circumstances and operating environments. The Initial Action Plan will include some, or all, of the following as well as any other specific requirements of the organisation:-

• New Project development and planning
• Portfolio and paperwork including PATH 
• Training
  - Developing Friendship Circles
  - Peer Mentor Training
• Developing Friendship Circles
• Peer Mentor training
• Recruitment and retention of peer mentors
• Short term ‘secondment’ to Ayrshire Fairway Project
• Consultancy
